An outdoor shower is a great listing feature until the drain blocks with sand and the floor turns green. We clear it, scrub it and check it drains. Decks and courtyards get swept and hosed, and outdoor settings are wiped down and put back the way they look in your photos.

A few blocks from the beach, salt haze settles on windows, balcony glass and outdoor tables within days. We wipe accessible glass every turnover and note any hinges, locks or sliding door rollers that are starting to stick, before a guest gets locked out on the deck.

A house that sleeps eight goes through a lot of linen, dishes and consumables in four nights. We strip every bed whether it looks slept in or not, run and unload the dishwasher, and restock toilet paper, soaps and kitchen basics so the next group is not running to the shops on arrival.
