Airbnb cleaning in Southport is a different job to the beach suburbs. Southport is the Gold Coast's business centre, sitting on the Broadwater rather than the surf, and its short stays are mostly apartments: towers looking over the water and the parklands, and mid-rise blocks in the streets around the CBD.
Southport is inside our Gold Coast service area, which runs from Coolangatta to Ormeau, and we cover it with the same turnover checklist, linen hire and photo report as every other suburb. A guest here for a month cooks most nights. By checkout the oven, stovetop and rangehood filter need degreasing, the fridge and freezer need clearing out, and the dishwasher filter is full. We do all of it, count the utensils and cookware, and put fresh milk in the fridge door for the next arrival.
Soap scum, drains and shower screens.
Weeks of daily showers leave the screen, grout and drain needing more than a wipe. The shower and toilet get sprayed first and left to dwell while the rest of the room is done, then scrubbed, drains cleared and bins relined. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner go back to three each, with at least three toilet rolls.

Apartments facing the Broadwater and the parklands sell on the view. Sliding doors, balcony glass and outdoor settings get wiped on every turnover, balcony furniture before the floor is swept and mopped, and we note any rollers or locks that start to stick in the salt air.
Fobs, loading docks and lift bookings.
Southport towers often have a lobby, a car park and rules about contractors. Tell us how we get in, whether a lift needs booking and where we can unload, and it goes on the run sheet before the first clean. If anything changes, we update it and let you know.

Usually a fuller one. After a few weeks of someone living in an apartment, the oven, fridge, shower screen, rangehood filter and bins all need more work than after a weekend. We plan extra time for long-stay checkouts, or book a one-off deep clean if the property needs a proper reset.
About 2 hours on site for a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment and about 2.5 hours for a 2 bed, 2 bath, by our own records. Both fit between a 10am checkout and 3pm check-in. Long-stay checkouts can take longer, so tell us the length of the booking when you send it.
Yes, and it helps. Plenty of Southport guests use the light rail to get to the hospital, the university or the Broadwater, so the apartment's bay often sits empty. If contractors are allowed to park in it, tell us and we add it to the run sheet so the linen gets upstairs faster.
