Tick what the property has
Only the tasks that apply.
No dishwasher, no dishwasher steps. Add a pool and you get the pool area and the gate check. Add a lockbox and the keys and scrambled code go on the before-you-leave list.

What a good Airbnb cleaning checklist does
This is the same structure our crews work to on every Brisbane and Gold Coast turnover, cut down to what any host or cleaner can use.
It follows the order of work
Bathrooms start with spraying the shower and toilet so the cleaner works while it sits. Bedrooms check under the bed and in the drawers before the bed is made, so nothing lands on fresh linen. Outdoor furniture is wiped before the floor is swept. The front door is the last tick, not the first.
It counts instead of describing
"At least 3 toilet rolls" can be checked. "Bathroom stocked" cannot. Specific counts stop the guest who runs out on night three, and they make a checklist something you can actually hold a cleaner to.
It asks for photos where they matter
Inside the fridge, the made beds, the toilet under the rim, the lockbox with the code scrambled. Photos are how you know the property is guest-ready without visiting, and they are dated evidence if a guest disputes damage. See our guide on photo evidence for damage claims.
It ends with security
Windows, balcony door, lights, air conditioner, keys and front door. Most host headaches after a clean are not dirt. They are an unlocked balcony or a lockbox left on the last code.

Why does the checklist include photo steps?
Photos are what let you stop driving past to check. A photo of the inside of the fridge, the made beds and the locked front door proves the clean was done and gives you dated evidence if a guest later disputes damage or a missing item.
What is the difference between a standard turnover and a first-guest setup?
A standard turnover resets the property between guests. A first-guest setup adds inventory photos of every wardrobe, drawer, cupboard and cabinet, a photo of the wifi details and a full property overview, so you have a baseline record before anyone stays.
How long does an Airbnb clean take?
From our own turnover records: about 2 hours on site for a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment, 2.5 hours for a 2 bed, 2 bath, 3.5 hours for a 3 bed, 2 bath and 4 hours for a 4 bed, 2 bath. The generator gives an estimate for your property.
Does the checklist work for houses as well as apartments?
Yes. Tick the amenities your property has, like a pool, BBQ, balcony or deck, washing machine and dryer, and those tasks are added. Houses with big outdoor areas take longer, so allow extra time beyond the estimate.
